    is there an official program that first will give teams or is the information not given til release?

    how did you integrate the FAAST program with the robot?

    

  • @purehawaiianboi23 Most of the other videos are with the official kit-included FIRST software. This was done with FAAST before FIRST even announced the Kinect being included in the kit. FAAST interfaces with the driver station using a joystick program.

  • @Orafrith This was done using FAAST (Flexible Action and Articulated Skeleton Toolkit) and some custom code on the robot.

  • I think it is not fair to let only some teams to play with the kinect before kickoff. It gives them a higher advantage on the programing over other teams. I was there when the video was taken :P

  • @FRC2193 and seems to work A LOT better.
