Hey guys, welcome to my very first contest! I've been wanting to do this for awhile now, so I'm super excited to finally do it!
There are 3 individual categories for this contest. You can enter as many of them as you want. It's open to EVERYBODY, so even if you're not an experienced vidder, you're still welcome to enter. New AND old videos are accepted, so even if you're busy, you can still enter with something you've already posted.
Big thank you to the three lovely ladies that have agreed to help me judge: Amanda, Rachel, and Elena! I'm hoping this will eliminate any bias and keep things fair across the board.
Deadline for entries has been extended to midnight EST on MARCH, 17th, 2012.
This is the FINAL deadline. There will be no further extensions after this date.
CATEGORY ONE: One True Pairing
Show us what makes your favorite OTP so great. It can be angsty, dramatic, romantic, or fun. Couples can be canon, non-canon, or crossover/AU. Anything goes, but it has to be ONE couple.
CATEGORY TWO: CHARACTER STUDY
What makes your character tick? How did they get to be where they are today? What makes them who they are? You can go a number of different ways with this. Backstory, their actions in a certain situation, or some character trait (i.e. If they're badass, show us how badass); anything that helps us better understand your character. Should revolve around one central character, but can be about a team/partnership that has gone through a lot together.
CATEGORY THREE: CRACK!VID
Anything that's funny - a boy band pop song with a badass fandom, a serious song with a funny situation, a girly song with a badass, crack pairings, etc. You can use multiple songs/characters/pairings and bloopers for this if you want. You CAN use multiple fandoms.
If you're not sure your video fits a category, shoot me a message and I'll give you a definite answer.
RULES
• Each vidder can submit up to 2 videos per category for a maximum of 6 videos total.
• Anything posted in 2011 or 2012 is acceptable.
• In the video description you should have: a link to this contest video and the category you're entering.
• Provide a download link either by PM or in the video's description. Your video will just be used for the results video should you win.
• Videos must be at least 30 seconds in length and can only be entered into one category.
• In the title of your video, write [RNYMC]. Leave it as a video response to THIS video.
• Any live-action or non/disney animation is accepted. Anything but anime (sorry, it's just a completely different style and hard to judge if you don't watch it).

There will be 13 different awards, plus the 3 overall category winners. Videos can win more than one award. There might be runner ups if enough entries are submitted.

Q: Is there a time limit?
A: Not really. I'd prefer at least 30 seconds, but anything is fine really.

A: That's completely fine. I just need them to make a pretty results video with little clips of the winners.

Thanks so much for entering! I actually extended the deadline by 2 weeks cause I had a few people saying they wanted to enter but had lots of stuff between now and the end of the month, so March 17th is the new (and final) deadline. And feel free to enter old videos too, they don't have to be brand new. :)

I have decided to enter for CATEGORY ONE: One True Pairing, I have two question may I use a couple from a movie? And is it mandatory to enter a video for each category or not?

Couple from a movie is fine. They can be from tv or movie, crossover or not, basically whatever you want to do. And no, not mandatory. You can enter as many categories as you'd like. :)
