Chilean protests turn violent

In the Chilean capital of Santiago protests have ignited. The demonstrations have turned violent and the people of Chile are calling for education reform and for the government to step in and put money into the educational system. @marco39120 RT is using pretty "20 something" female reporters ( and they are very good ), whereas Fox and other mainstream Media seem to go for the 30-40 ish "rebuilt"(plastic) women. The 20 somethings beat plastic by a mile.

Sadly, peaceful protests rarely accomplish anything. The occupy wallstreet movement has been going on for how long? And what has it accomplished? But if you fight back, even in self-defense against the police, you'll be labeled a domestic terrorist and detained indefinitely.

Even if you have a revolution, bloodless or violent, not much is accomplished long-term. Even if the person voted into power isn't corrupt, his successor will be.

@yossarian1633 Jobs aren't guaranteed just because you go to college. If you take out a loan you have to be absolutely positive you can pay it back even if you turn out to not get the job you were expecting.

@MrObserver2011 i dont have any of those. no tv or facebook or any cell phone. i only have a tablet pc and the internet. a house plus utilities. a truck for me and a jeep for wife. two dogs and a cat and two ferrets. i have some camping gear and some dishes. besides that nothing else is owned by me. we dont even use checks or credit cards. and we use a credit union not a bank. there is a start for everyone. dont buy into the corporate greed.

focusing on just one demand is like giving in to a terrorist. i swore an oath as a soldier in the army to protect my ppl. i give in to no terrorist not even the usa gov and its elite. we have MANY demands and they will ALL be met or i will go down fighting until they are as per the oath i swore to do so. making one demand so they can say they gave us what we want is what they are trying to get us to fall for. DONT LET THAT HAPPEN PPL. MAKE THEM MEET ALL OUR DEMANDS OR PERISH.

unfortunately the elites of the world are power hungry and dont care what happens to us. we need this revolt world wide against the elite to start us over with a system for the ppl by the ppl and controlled by the ppl so that these elites and those like them wont be able to grab hold of enough to gain control of us ever again. first the overthrow of ALL govs then the rebuild and repeat as necessary till we get it right.
