You have no clue what you are talking about. None. Teachers often work well beyond the hours they are scheduled. I'm a husband of a teacher. We spend a couple of thousand of (non-reimbursed) dollars on extra stuff for her kids. And she works about 20 hours a week outside 'official hours' doing lesson planning and the like. And most (including my wife) have to work summers for us to make ends meet. The "they are handed a book" thing is a farce. Um no.

i have an idea for a political ad:

1. take a clip of a politician saying "weiner"

2. edit the shit out if it to make him say it numerous times

3. Say in the ad that this politician is doing nothing about rapists in [insert state/country here]

Teaching is like a dream come true to some people. about 1% actually want to see the children learn, 70% just want an easy job, and about 28% are too lazy to look for a better job.

Teachers are literally handed a book with what to teach, and the teachers teach it. Requires no creativity, nothing. Why should we be paying people who just copy out of a book the big bucks?
