This feels like it builds tension before something bad/scary is supposed to happen.

I really want to play this game... I can't wait for it's release. People who say it ruined Silent Hill are wrong. This isn't trying to be a straight remake of the first game. It is a deeper exploration of the psychological aspects of the first game. It expands and completes the story. but I also think the main reason for it is to test out a new type of gameplay. I hope that they make more games like this, but not a remake of SH2. I want SH6 to be like this.

@HoodsDream So true man. The rewinding was confusing at first, but then it made perfect sense at the end. I used to like SH2's intro the best but I think this one might top it.

It's my humble opinion that Shattered Memories was the swift kick in the ass the franchise needed. Granted, the puzzles could have been a bit more challenging (and should have been, as combat was removed), but not since Silent Hill 2 have the characters and storyline had me so enthralled.

Trust me its a rumor. It was never confirmed by Konami and he never personally said it. Ive already emailed konami asking if he quit. They said to handle information not being announced from there side as rumors only.
