This video is meant to accompany Lamyaa BELMEKKI's Round Table presentation at IFLA 2009 on the experience of incorporating new professionals into the teaching body at Morocco's Ecole des Sciences de l'Information (ESI). Heather Lea Moulaison describes her experiences as a Fulbright scholar during 2008-2009 -- a grant that she received because of her status as a professional librarian in the United States. ESI's willingness to inject classes with new blood and to give a voice to practitioners was evident in their positive response to Ms. Moulaison's initial inquiry. She describes her impressions of the school and its students, and talks about the first thesis committee where she was a member.
