What's the heck going on with the Sony Bravia LCD TV?
Does this on all inputs.

Shaking the top left corner hard enough will make the video better until the next time the TV is idle for an extended period of time.

Sometimes leaving the TV on for awhile will cause it to fix itself.

  • So many problems with the Sony TV's. Im 14 months into mine and I have this flickering down the middle of the screen. Did the firmware upgrade and things just got worse. Sony wont help because my warranty is over 2 months ago. Im totally screwed and SOL. Sony has just turned their back on me. I dont have the money for a repair which will cost as much as the TV itself. I dont have the money for a new TV either. These TV's should last longer then 14 months. I'll never buy a Sony TV again. Never.

  • I have KDL46s4100 same problem 1year 4 months just out of warranty paid 1700 for it. ouch!!

  • Sony used to make great TVs. Now they just don't care. Which is why Sony's TV division is in so much trouble. My parents bought a Sony flat screen TV, and I couldn't believe that Sony make such poor quality TVs. The sound is terrible, and the picture has very poor contrast.

  • My Bravia XBR LCD TV started having problems at 2 year + 1 month. See my video titled "Horizontal Lines in Sony Bravia KDL52XBR9 HDTV"

  • @CARIBDOC1 I totally agree. See my video titled "Horizontal Lines in Sony Bravia KDL52XBR9 HDTV"

  • samsung sucks to ,, 3 samsungs broke down , - 1 due to a light tap to the side the other due to a line down the screen a third had to return , the controller didnt work period and forget calling them they want 90 bucks to ship it in warranty-reminds me of sony wanting 50 bucks to replace a ps3 defective controller -- unacceptable,

i got 2 vizios, had no problems with any of them

  • WARNING TO ALL SONY BUYERS!!!!!! I just completed a 3 month journey with this crappy company regarding the well known screen problems associated with these models...first they sent me to a repair shop that had no replacement parts because SONY stopped supplying them. I waited 2 more mos for sony to finally offer me a refurbished 3 year old TV or buy a newer model for 300 of of THEIR list price.....which was 500 dollars more expensive than everybody else

SONY sucks stay away...THEY DONT CARE

  • put the t-con board 90$ and it's ok

  • Same here but if you look to the right there is a black line I think it has to do something with that

  • @rsrossi could you happen to tell me the fix? i tried finding it to no avail

  • i have a 40in samsung 650 model. It actually did the same thing! Was covered under warranty thankfully. the issue with mine was the connection between the LCD panel and main board was faulty so it was producing ghost images.
