and it is only going to get worse as police forces recruit soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan . It is very difficult to "untrain/detrain" soldiers from civil war zones and then try to train them as "peace officers" in their home country USA.

Police hate having their authority challenged....but when certain police are acting outside the legal authority of thier job then the public must challenge it. THe public has a moral obligation to take action against illegal acts by criminals, be they in uniform or not. The police are startng to see themselves as a military force and this makes the general public feel like they are being occupied by a foreign power.....

the suspect is resisting arrest. the officer has the right to defend himself and subdue the suspect. im not saying that gives them the right to beat him to the last inch of life either.
