The diving U-boat was an Academy model kit we bought. I has a rear dive plane that moves down by its own weight to submerge the submarine, the up when the water hits a small paddle on top of the coning tower to surface the boat. This process repeats untill you run out of pool. We thought we could modify the model to RC but it's just to small so we are building this. We added controllable forward dive planes that the Academy model didn't have.
