A Tour of the Houston Area Live Steamers Railway Part 1

This was filmed Nov. 8, 2009 for the Southwest Live Steamers Final Meet of 2009. I incorrectly identify the Railroad as "Cedar Creek". It is actually the "Cypresss Creek and Southern RR". Southwestern Live Steamers are a group of hobbyists that operate 1/8 scale model railroad equipment that runs on 7 1/2 gauge track. The steamers you see are just like the real things burning real coal for power. Houston Area Live Steamers (HALS) is a club that own and operate a miniature railroad near Houston, Tx where the meet took place

@97warpath Yes it's the Annetta Valley RR owned by Terry McGrath. Looks like it will be Saturday afternoon or Sunday for me. Something came up Friday. I have something going on Saturday evening so I'll have to cut out early or wait til Sunday to run. I'll be there at some point though.

@97warpath Yeah I remember you. You have the little mac and a single gondola. I think you were out at Jack's last year in Terrell. That's where I remember you from I'm pretty sure. I'm planning to be at the Annetta meet next weekend but prolly only one day and it will likely be Friday or Saturday. Are you going to be out there?
