This is an original, right?

I always forget what a great singer Michael was.

I have a very nice bootleg from one of those shows in the 80's my friend Andy was running sound and got it straight from the board.

I first heard this song at sunset in the Utah desert on my way to see the Dead in Red Rocks. It was time to face myself. I didn't and fell pretty hard. Eventually I did face myself and my life has been intense ever since. thanks Ron I'm so glad I you posted this. I've been checking for it for years. Glad I found it. Michael was brilliant!

How could this video have only 5800 views? Michael is a true American Treasure.
A girl friend took me to see Michael at San Diego State around this time for a Windham Hills show if I remeber correctly. I had never heard of him and had no idea what to expect. He was mesmerizing.
The guy played the guitar with his entire body and soul. Picking, slapping, bending chords, grinding, spinning around. What must he have been channeling? His parents must be immensly proud of their son. RIP

thank you.

Its too bad I was not even alive and very young when Michael was alive and his prime. I was only 6 when he died. I keep looking back on that december and thinking that was the month Michael died.

Saw Michael Hedges in Flagstaff,AZ right before he passed. What a night. Small venue and incredible performance. Peace.

I saw this broadcast! I lived near Mansfield at the time, and I was amazed by this guitar player on TV. I grabbed a tape and started recording. But I didn't catch his name. A few years later I was at college, my friend and I and stopped in this New Age shop in Cleveland. And there looking at me from the cover of his WATCHING MY LIFE GO BY album was Michael! A year or so after that, we went to see Michael with Mike Manring at Oberlin. What a magical night. Thanks for posting this! -Mason

The concert with Manring at Oberlin WAS magical. I felt blessed to attend the master class at the conservatory. Great guy. Thanks Michael, you are missed...

When did you attend Oberlin? I was there 1988-1992. I wasn't in the conservatory (was fairly intimidated to do anything musical, actually, at Oberlin!). Then I wouldn't have dared try to attend the master class. Wow, now, nothing would have stopped me.
