  • have to agree lord of the rings was expensive, but worth it. one question, is red vs blue boxset worth it? i mean i love the show but is it worth the $70 they charge?

  • its 6 disks so I think its a pretty reasonable price. Not to mention the bonus disk alone is AMAZING. It might be the funnier than any of the seasons.

But one thing u can do that I did. Go to google video and search for entire seasons. Some people downloaded the episodes and put whole seasons into one video.

I watched all those and decided that I wanted to own the box set. Plus I got it for collection purposes because it just looks badass.

  • oh, and if you have any seasons yet you can buy the rest of the seasons and then buy a special they have thats the bonus disk along with the box. That way if you want the box set but already have some you wont have to sell the seasons you already got

  • I have the bluray special edition of LOTR but I did luck out on the DVD version of LOTR as a big boxed set. I got all the editions in a big cardboard box for $49.99 Canadian ( I live in Nova Scotia Canada)

  • pff 78$

  • I once paid $120 for the ENTIRE dvd set of Futurama (movies and the first four seasons) complete in a plastic Bender head to hold all the dvds. Best $120 I've ever spent.

  • I paid $50 for that David Lynch boxset with Eraserhead and his short films. The boxset is the size of a vinyl record and the inside is kinda broken. Now I found out that he released this thing called 'The Lime Green Boxset". Goddamit David... (I'll probably buy it anyway)

  • @CrazT729 well now they're releasing the remastered box set which is 1-5 seasons in HD

  • Wow, my most expensive DVD box set was a very rare 1980s TV series by ABC called OUR HOUSE which was a copy and not an official release. I paid $90.00 plus postage to the UK of around $10.00.

Because it was copied from VHS the quality isnt DVD Quality, but at least I got the show and its good viewable!

On EBAY I sold one rare Hallmark DVD movie ROBIN OF LOCKSLEY with young Devon Sawa for insanely £50.00 ( around $35.00 ). I bought this actually for only $10.00 plus p+p

  • rumble anthology part 4=£40

  • i got james bond collection $200

  • im getting the 14 disc planet of the apes set for 199$

  • lol, I feel pretty stupid now, back in the day when vhs were the thing.... I spent 30$ on a sailor moon movie vhs... It was the japanese uncut version but damn... I feel stupid, lol
