Haha! I know you're not being racist, and I know what you mean. I agree that he doesn't really bring lyrics to the song. But in rap, a lot of "hit" songs have no lyrical content. Just a catchy hook, and a nice beat, with a great video. Looking at the behind the scenes of this, and seeing the production that went into it, I would just expect more out of the numbers it got. Marketing goes a long way, and it seems like his budget was blown on visuals... Just my take on it.
