If I'm wrong on anything, please correct me.
Hello, My name is Nobody and I'm here to basically rant about a problem I've noticed when it comes to Super Smash Brothers Brawl
A lot of players don't see Brawl as a serious game and tend to look down on it since there is "little to no skill needed to play". While this is true when compared to Melee, Brawl actually encourages the players to be good with whoever they choose to play. Even though there is a tier list, it doesn't mean a player can't win a tournament just because their character is low tier. While some may see this as a good thing, many will say it's because Brawl is too easy and you can win any match by spamming with character X. While up to an extent it will work, even moreso than in Melee, a person can still be beaten...
One important fact about Melee is that melee is broken. And it doesn't take much effort to notice this. These "Techniques" Are actually glitches in the game that professional players exploit in order to win with more tact. The fact is, Melee is broken, horribly, and it ruins the experience of even the gamer who likes a challenge.
Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy playing Melee as some of its elements are fun. I myself am actually quite proficient in Melee, but unable to do some of the more advanced techniques due to lack of muscle memory. And I actually like to play without such tactics, so I can play the game as it was meant to be played. No techniques, items, all for fun, any stage!
The smash bros series has been great fun for me since its creation, but the only thing that kills the fun for me and my friends is the hardcore crowd who takes things...just a tad bit too seriously....making it hard for gamers like myself to enjoy a fun game because we're "doing it wrong"
All in all, all the games have been great so far, and to see another one would be great...I'm looking at you, sakurai...Happy smashing....
Hah, I love pointing that out XD
And people praise it for the skill....when the skill is actually broken gameplay
