wow that's so true. I'm 22 and I'm a female beatmaker/producer and I totally agree with you.

I've been praised for my beats and I know I am better than a majority of beatmakers out there, however, I would be v.reluctant to get into the world of hip hop because I can't stand the misogynistic culture.

I wouldn't be able to put up with it and that's a shame because hip hop needs some new blood.

I guess it all starts with us. If we make our voices heard then maybe things will change.

WORD! It's so much about attitudes and how you treat other human beings! Being dissed and then tryin' to kick it ain't easy. It's like the expectations are other when you, as a woman, go on stage spitting it raw. Even though you talk for real, many don't perceive it that way, and THAT ain't a thing for one, or even ten persons to change. That takes a lot more people, and some time. Respect for speakin' up.
