Hot and crispy Korean style chicken strips in a sweet and spicy gochujang hot sauce. I first sampled this delicious Korean take on fried chicken at a street festival this past summer. I knew at some point in time, I had to try to make it at home. That time is now. Let cook!

Sauce for chicken:
- 1/4 C gochujang
- 1T sesame oil
- 1T soy sauce
- 1T honey
- a pinch salt
- hot water (add a few drops at a time to achieve desired consistency)
- sesame seeds to finish

  • Is this very spicy? I was thinking of trying it but my Mom can't take too much spice; if it is just mildly spicy, that would be OK.

  • @autumnyaar not too spicy, you can adjust it by how much gochujang you add.

  • you should upload some more test kitchen videos.. they are extremely entertaining..

  • @ACEkidize Thanks! Test kitchen was a little experiment to see how people would like the improv cooking. It's been well received so it will be permanent, every Monday.

  • MrJinjong, for gochujang sauce it's written 1/4 C (What's the C stand for ? CC ?) and 1T means 1 teaspoon ? Thanks ^^

  • @eLH0u C = cups, T=Tbsp, t=teaspoons, sorry bout that.

  • i love Korean food, especially the chicken they have in South Korea. its different than american hot wings or fried chicken in general, its like their fast food that has the best sauces and i can definitely classify it as Korean food because i cant seem to find chicken like that anywhere else except for Korean eateries.yummmmm

  • Yum! This looks great! I love spicy foods - especially dishes with a mix of different peppers :)

  • i love spicy food, although can't bear too much hot. my favorite spicy dish ist chinese shuizhu beef, sichuan style, yum yum. goes perfectly with rice

  • Q: Do You Like Your Food Spicy?:

A: Yes, people who don't can't be trusted.

Q: What's your favorite Spicy dish?:

A: Daeji Bulgogi and/or anything one would consider suitable for drenching in Sriracha.
