what if you don't want it to go to a url? i'm working on a photo gallery so when a button say friends is clicked it'll load the gallery with my friends photos. i have the main photo page titled "sectionPhotos" and the friends page called "sectionFriends" i've been looking for the code to put in this button for a week any help would be appreciated.....

Hey there! This is the way I learned how to make buttons! You know, to stop that annoying thing where the text is the only part you can roll over, you can switch the anti-alias to 'Anti-alias for readability'. That's just my way to do it.

at the beginning, you did right click covert to symbol make it to a button, then you tested the movie, you hovered your mouse on the text and mouse changed, mine didn't do anything, I got everything right at the beginning. Why is this? When i test the text button the mouse doesn't do anything. It's the same!

hi I have a question. How come you didn't just draw a rectangle on the hit area on that very same layer you did with the text button but instead you created a new layer?
