Baguazhang/Pakuachang Application Cadence Drill

A basic drill I learned to develop whole body coordination, timing and well cadence or flow. The application of this drill works very effectively for entering straight into/down a person's center line and Walking the Circle AROUND another person. It is great for developing a sense of timing and proper body position for absorbing/neutralizing redirecting/blending with another person's actions. Lots of ways to sneak elbows in too and lead into more than what is shown here. A very fun drill I never get tired of. Very effective for training hitting fajing on a punching bag or iron palm training bag as the dropping fajing and expanding whole body structure you can work with is all there. Each step of the movement is great for using as a Zhan Zhuang practice

As allways your single person drills are superb. That teaches a lot of things in one short sequence. Love the way you show the whole bosy coiliong - ever so slightly but visibly. I guess it can be very subtle almost without weight, and it can also impact like a steamhammer. Thanks for posting

@blacksilkblacksilk Thanks glad you like the vid. The subtle coiling does give you a solid feeling for whole body movement and you can make it light as a feather or solid like an anvil falling. ;)

Sweet share, sir! Thank you =D! Another drill that I can practice w/ my Bagua training. I'm currently taking a Muay Thai class this semester, & Ba Gua definitely helps in a lot of the transition to the hard art =3.
