Artist: Derek and the Dominos
Album (Year): Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs (1970) [This performance was not included on any of their albums, studio or live]
Title: Little Wing

I'm not sure when or where this performance took place, but the (dubious) file information that came with my copy says "Last show, 12 June 1970". I can't confirm anything about this, because, according to Wikipedia, their DEBUT show was on 14 June 1970 at the Lyceum Theatre in London. This might be the last show they did at some other venue shortly before their debut, but really, who knows? If any of you remember hearing this live... and remember when and where that was... I'd really like to know :].

Also, the file skips ahead (and loses part of the recording, damn it!) at 2:30. If anyone has the full recording, PLEASE let me know!!! I still like it with the error, but it would be great to have the full and proper recording.

//

Well she's walking through the clouds
With a circus mind that's running 'round
Butterflies and zebras, and fairy tales
That's all she ever thinks about

When I'm sad, she comes to me
With a thousand smiles she gives to me free
Says "It's all right, now."
"You can do anything you want with me."[? not sure about this line]
"You can take anything."

[~ file skips ahead here :( :( ~]

i coold hear to it all day

    just awesome

do you use a wahwah pedal?

  • @MegaGuitarProDude good lord, this isn't me playing! that's eric clapton on the guitar! this is a performance by derek and the dominos, a cover of a jimi hendrix experience song, not my own cover.

clapton used a wah-wah pedal pretty often but i have no idea if he was using it here. i would guess that he was, but i don't know.

  • This sounds like little wing off their live at the fillmore album. quite good. it's all over the internet

  • The wah-wah goes wah-wah! And I hear a lot of wah-wah in this video. Eric Clapton was a wah-wah master those days. The second solo here is terrific!

  • @slashu do u know bobby whitlock?
