@H4NDCRAFTED yes, nothing is copied. if you reformat you would have to rescan your sample folders. However if it's not the same samples you had before, you will have to reimport/tag them again.

Ok just did this, as far as I can make out, this only makes a pointer to the original audio files and does not duplicate or move the audio,
So if you reformat you will need to point maschine to the correct files again.
Is that correct ?

@namaskarr that's not importing mp3, that's converting it to wav then importing it, so it's importing wav. It doesn't support mp3s directly.

so can you go to, say, your folder for samples in my FL studio folder through the maschine software? So I don't have to reorganize it?

@88res you can go there from the disk tab in Machine and save it as a favorite so you can browse your samples the same way you do in Maschine but they will not show up on the controller unless you tag them in Maschine's browser.
