NAO Dance Collective Artistic Director Linda Eve Elchak
asked the students today in Improv class to place there writing utensil
of choice drawn from a bucket of different types of writing tools on a
piece of paper and continual create with it until they felt they were
done creating and then was asked to lift there writing utensil off the
paper when they were done. The students
were asked to re create the picture in there improv movement. After all
the students finished this task, they then were asked to exchange there
pictures with another and show in there improv movement there
interpretation of the other students picture , Last the students were
asked to pick up a writing utensil of there choice to add on to the
other exchanged drawing. Finally they were asked to demo the two
interpretations on opposite sides of the room leaving the middle of the
room last for them to merge both interpretations together to recreate
the picture that they both created. This is 100 % improv work.
