@Beast - I've noticed that about a lot of Eastern European women in general - not just former gymnasts. Their looks seriously degrade, they gain a ton of weight & they start to look all matronly- it all happens relatively-quick.
(I'm one to talk! Maybe I'm part-Eastern European.)
At least Aurelia is still in shape. And I don't think Aurelia has lost all of her beauty...part of the disappointment may be that some people expect a lot more from a woman who was naturally blessed w/ great beauty.

@Bronxfan - yeah, she could some Gypsy in her, but her facial structure is very suggestive of Mongol/Asian heritage, as well. The Mongols invaded many parts of Europe back in the day, & that legacy can be seen in the facial features of many Eastern Europeans. I've noticed it in a lot of Russians, especially (& in ppl from the other former Soviet republics). For ex., Elena Mukhina may not look exactly like Dobre, but if you look closely, they have a very similar facial structure.

Q: How do you see your chances at the 88 Olympics? A: My biggest hope is to win as part of the team. I'd really like to win the all-around, too. And of course, I'd like to win the bars and beam competition.

She was barely 15 in this clip, just beautiful. Have you guys seen her recent pictures? She didn't age very well. She has 4 kids, married non-european. I hate it many beautiful eastern block female gymnasts turn into fuglies, lose all their beauty after certain age.

Yeah, I saw Adrian Stan in a video, and he's definitely getting fatter. And Aurelia is knock-out beautiful here. Those "sleepy" eyes make me wonder if they gave her some Sudafed before the interview. ha ha.
