Morena Baccarin as Nick Fury's Sidekick? We've got an Avengers casting update up next!

Hey Everyone I'm Chelsea Cannell, thanks for tuning in to clevver Movies!

The Avengers is set to start production in late April, and while the film seems to be pretty good to go on the casting front, there are still a few spots left to fill.

Samuel L. Jackson's character Nick Fury will apparently be getting a Female sidekick, and reports are that V's Morena Baccarin is a lead contender for the part!

Melrose place's Jessica Lucas, How I met your Mother's Cobie Smulders and Mary Elizabeth Winstead are also all in the casting mix.

The speculation is that the female sidekick could be "Janet Van Dyne" -- aka- "The Wasp!"

But of course Marvel refuses to confirm or deny the rumor.

I haven't watched ''V'', but Morena is super foxy so she's my choice! Besides, as previously stated, she has worked with the films director Joss Whedon before on Firefly/Serenity. With her long sexy neck and her current short haircut i think she would make an amazing Janet Van Dyne/Wasp, but she is a great actress and could pull off pretty much Any role! I think it would be beyond amazing if they also cast Nathan Fillion as Hank Pym/Antman, reuniting that chemisty! In Avengers 2, if not here!
