Geisha red carpet treatment

we turned the corner and all of the sudden there were all these people with cameras. they were waiting for geishas/maiko to come down this street. This one came down the street, the flashes were flashing and she happened to pass this guy she knows, a client? one of her sisters clients? it was so surreal, even more than a movie, i mean it was like a movie but it was real life crazy!

Yes, she is a geisha! The elite of traditional female artists. Everything on her must be art, and even her kimono may costs ten thousand U.S. dollars (I mean the main piece). "How do they know she was coming?" This is the alley that leads to Gion Kobu's main street. She was comming from the theater of Gion where were being presented the spring dances recital. Kyoto is very famous for the Miyako Odori.

The geisha is Sayoko, and she seams very famous among her clients. She is a cutie. = )
