The Cassiopeia Project is an effort to make high quality science videos available to everyone. If you can visualize it, then understanding is not far behind.

Code for Life: Beginning more than three and a half billion years ago, a tiny, primitive molecule encoded instructions deep within itself. Then it passed these instructions on to its children, who passed it to their children and so on - all the way down through time to all living things today.

The human genome, written in a code of just four letters, tells us who we really are - and that generates many questions!

Is this process of natural selection coming to an end? Should we choose the best that is in us for our children? If so, who gets to decide what is meant by "the best that is in us"?

From amino acids in space to human genes in corn ... THIS is the story.

Being called ignorant by a creationist is like being called yellow by a banana.

You don't understand what a scientific theory is. Evolution does not try to do anything. It certainly doesn't say if there is, or isn't a guiding intelligence.

Are you just dismissing it because it doesn't fit the bible?? Well neither does disease, the shape of the earth, morality, the sun, the age of the earth and many other things. Does that mean they are wrong too?

Yahweh isn't the only god...

AHH! the old "evolved from nothing trick" Well, no one claims that we evolved from nothing. Science explains (currently) all the way back to the Big Bang. Before that no one knows, thats science.

But, isn't it RELIGION that CLAIMS that their gods were always here? How did god evolve and from whom??? You may want to trust in blind faith, I will trust in fact and evidence. truce.

@Quaunta Not it's not. Just because you are not of the same field of study doesn't mean you have no right to criticize others of different subject matters. Any biologist could say their opinion on business and vice versa. That's social freedom of opinion. So it makes perfect sense for a creationist and evolutionist to discuss the origin of life and all that subtext.

@vargasg Our science did tell us the earth was a sphere since greek antiquity. The bible told us the earth was a flat circle. It's not for nothing that the Church burned any who stood by the truth about the earth's shape.

And you seem to disregard the fact the Bible says the earth is at the center of the universe. In fact, you must disregard the bible as a whole if you want to talk about coherence.

its funny how atheists automatically assume that a scientist cannot believe in a God, or how they think that science disproves God. science proves the existence of a God. The bible declared that earth was round when our science said it was flat. the bible declared that the earth hangs on nothing when science thought it was on a pedestal.
