The twelfth show of the Briard and Beauceron breeds was held in Ogrodzieniec castle on 9 September 2007. Unfortunately the weather was bad but the turn out very good with around 120 dogs being present, mainly Briards which are quite an unusual breed in this country.
The Briard comes from the town of the same name in the Pyrenees and was originally conceived to sheep herding duties at the same time as protecting them from wolves. To this end their ears used to be clipped, this practice has recently been made illegal.

Music: Welcome to the Pleasure Dome by Frankie goes to Hollywood.

  • what is he doing here? XD. Nice video, photos, thanks for sharing!

  • Very nice Video. Good photography. The music his not of my style but it's nice and young... We have a lots of Briar in America registered with the AKC ( American Kennel Club ). To this day, the Beaceron is Practically unknown, here. I own some American Black & Tan Coonhound... they look a little like, and have the same marking than the Berger de Beauce but with the corpulance of a refinded Blood Hound. Way back, the Beauceron may have been the background of my breed ? ...

  • Thats mean me love briards!

  • nice location !

  • Unfortuntely I was between video cameras when I was the interpreter for this fair, organised by a close friend who is a dog breeder! I have never heard of your breed but I am sure my friend has.

I like Frankie goes to Hollywood a lot but judging by some of the comments I have recieved on this and other films then mine is a minority opinion!
