Using a piece of software called FaceAPI (created by Seeing Machines) we can track a user's facial features and use this to drive the expression of a virtual character.

This work was recently exhibited at the Australian National Portrait Gallery as part of the Youth Self Portrait prize.

  • i swear to god, if someone can make this a mod for half life 2, or make an addon for garry's mod using this, i would love them. This feature works great!

  • It looks very impressive, but the mouth tends to close and open slightly at seemingly random times.
