@spread1971 Genuine industrial music utilizes, at least in part, actual industrial equipment to make sounds. Einsturzende Neubauten, for example. The word industrial is incorrectly overused. Although bands like leather Strip may use electronics to create industrial-sounding noises, it's electronica.

All this fantastic EBM/Elektro only seems to have lasted between 1987-1996.
I remember because the quality of the output of all the big bands just dropped like a stone after 1996. The lyrical content became a joke, self referential greasy kid stuff. The bands that became popular in the States because of the RAS DVA comp just crapped out in a very short time.
Hard to believe that many of them continue fifteen years later. The Third wave + of EBM/Elektro leaves me flat I'm sorry to say.
