Poor spitzer. I don't agree with him 100% but he's definitely a smart guy speaking to a room of idiots who are more so wooed by Becks animated personality.

Progressive is a movement that started in the late 19th century. They want to change the meaning of the constitution. They believe human nature changes and evolves and are trying to say that elite leaders could use power more wisely than individuals. The reason the constitution limits the power of government is because the leaders always want more power. If you read ancient history you can see that the nature of man has not changed.People all will fail so the people with power should be limited.

how do you explain teacher where we the taxpayers paying these people to teach our children and invest in our future and present .That is taxes a investment in infrastructure and our people. You need to understand what a progressive is by definition someone favoring or advocating progress, change, improvement, or reform, as opposed to wishing to maintain things as they are . these are people who improve our government more the better.I wouldn't said both parties are progressive though.

If you take taxes from everyone to create one job and then create a government job There is zero gain in jobs. One less in the private industry and one more in government means no new jobs.Government employees are so productive there is a little gain, no wait they are way less productive so not only do we have no gain we have a loss. Liberal in the time of Washington meant liberty. Both parties want big government which takes from us forcefully in taxes. Both parties are progressive and need limit

Notice Washington encouraged us to be more liberal. It'll work out in the end when both parties catch up to each other. The republican party is the furthest to the right than our country has ever been. It's decided that cognitive dissonance is the way to win. Meaning they have to be in their view polar opposites of the democratic party. It's never been that way. They've always worked together in the middle. This is madness and the reason why congress has a 12% approval rating. Wake up!

Yes, liberal is a tad more liberal. It is still the same definition. Liberal means liberty. The right republican party was the liberal party fro 1790s to late

1960s and then the parties began to flip. The republican party should have stayed the way they were instead they turned into what the democratic party was. The democratic party went through the same thing the republican party is going through now. It may take 20 years but they are coming around to where they were then. Then work together
