Greystone Preparatory at Schreiner University provides young women and men seeking admission to a United States Service Academy with the skills and tools required to receive a Congressional Nomination and an Academy Appointment.

95% of the graduates of the one year University program receive their desired Academy appointment. Not receiving a nomination or appointment on your first attempt does not have to mean the end of your Service Academy Dream.

If you really want to go to a Service Academy, check out Greystone.

  • @morningtruth

    my thoughts exactly.

  • From what I've seen it seems the Academy focuses on these certain criteria when choosing candidates:

    1. Athletics

    2. Community Service

    3. Academic Achievement

    4. ACT/SAT scores (yes separate from academic achievement)

    5. Military Background

    6. Race (not kidding. the academies are trying to diversify now, VMI is notorious for rejecting MANY females. They gotta fix that.)

The first 4 criteria are the ones that the student cant control. The last 2 are by the luck of the draw.

  • just because the guy had a 32 dose not mean that he was the whole 9 yards which all of the schools, usma, usna, usafa etc are looking for you need alot more then good act scores to get in

  • I don't mean to bash on females or anything, but they do lower the standards a bit for them to keep ratios up. Its nothing against women, but most women aren't thinking about joining the military...

  • no, NJROTC is the high school program. this is the real deal

  • Navy Seal? My ass.

  • I want to fly for the Navy... just like my Uncle
