When I first started watching wrestling. Tarzan Tyler was the first heel I can remember in the WWWF. They were building him up to wrestle Pedro Moralas.

Yes it was Haku during the mid-80s, when he got his 1st major push in pro wrestling.
As for Tarzan Tyler (Camille Tourville) he was involved in a heavy car crash with another hugely 'popular' wrestler Pierre Mad Dog Lefebvre and senior referee Adrien Desbois hours before Christmas Day of 1985. It's been known as the accident that basically killed kayfabe and the pro wrestling business in the Quebec territory.

He did wrestle in Calgary and had a few try outs for the WWF and WCW. Unfortunately he apparently had an attitude problem which prevented him from going to the next step

I saw Tarzan "" The Boot "" Tyler wrestle Edward Carpentier in the Main Event of a sensational wresling card held at the Place Western Stadium in Dolbeau Lac St-Jean. It was an outside venue. The date was in July of 1974 during a fantastic summer night and it was sold out with 3500 wrestling fans on hand .After 20 minutes Carpentier took the pin and retained the Canadian Championship !!!
