Alexandra Morton explains why she is challenging the provincial governments right to regulate fish farms when these farms are impacting and destroying wild oceanic salmon that are under federal jurisdiction
Good work, Alexandra.Thanks. I've been working with the Stream Keepers and we have found that the DFO has given way to the MOForestry in the area of spawning habitat. So the MOF decides if spawning habitat is being damaged by logging.
We took some good science into the MOF and to logging companies and we found that they don't know anything about hydrology or salmon. And they don't care.
I wish more young people would get involved in these issues.
good vid im here on the coast and ive seen first hand whats happening. I was born the year the first fish farm went up here and im part of the younger generation and this is a sad deal for us it needs to stop. i try to salmon fish in my boat and i think we have been dealt a bad hand.keep fighting i will!!!
