Filmed in the city of Groningen, this was a parade of authentic world war-two vehicles to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Holland. The north of Holland was liberated by Canadians so the canadian veterans were invited to ride in the jeeps with the guys from 'Keep Them Rolling', a Dutch club of WW2 vehicle owners. You can see the crowd cheering and applauding the veterans. We are still very grateful to them for ridding us of the Nazi jackboot.
This film is dedicated to all who fought in the Holland campagne in 1944/1945. Lest we forget.

  • @C32347K17732 Geen probleem ;-)

  • @EdEditz description says Holland...

sorry ik zit hier altijd over te zeiken -_-

  • @C32347K17732 Oh haha, see what you mean. Okay, north of the netherlands it is.

  • @EdEditz yes I know, I live in Groningen.

But Groningen is not part of Holland.

Saying Groningen is part of Holland is blasphemy! :P

  • @C32347K17732 LOL, sorry I should have said. I am the maker of this video. This is my old channel. What I meant to say in the discription is that the north (of which Groningen is a part) was liberated by Canadians. That's why this parade has Canadian veterans partaking in it. Other parades are held at the same time throughout the country.

  • @EdEditz I know, but the maker of the video says something else.

  • @C32347K17732 5th of may is our national liberation day so we celebrated the liberation of the whole of the Netherlands :)

  • wow this was in Groningen and they celebrated the liberation of (North-)Holland?

Why weren't they celebrating the liberation of Groningen, (North of the Netherlands not north of Holland)?
