from the album Shooting At The Moon

I just came in off the street
Looking for somewhere to eat
I find a small cafe
I see a girl and then I say

`May I sit and stare at you for a while?
I`d like the company of your smile`

You don`t have to say a thing
You`re the song without the sing
The sunlight in your hair
You look so good just sitting there

`May I sit and stare at you for a while?
I`d like the company of your smile`

  • I'm actually reading Mike's Biography ... it's him inventing and playing the bass

  • im going to cry now! sooo beautiful

  • @Doobie1975 Yes I'm sitting with a friend of Kevins now. It's Kevin Ayers singing on the track. Mike & Kevin both started off on the same label I've been told, that's how they became friends

  • Great song, about time it's on here, didn't the singer who sang this song also sang on Mike Oldfield's "Don Alfonso"?
