This video compares high end bows from 1980, 1990, 2000, and 2010 From 1980 I have a Browning X9B, from 1990 a Bear Specialist Super 65, from 2000 a Hoyt Carbonite, and from 2010 a Bowtech Destroyer 350. After buying each bow I remember thanking It cant get much better. It is a lot nicer shooting the newer bows the vibrations on the older ones is uncomfortable. The 1980 Browning only pulls hard for a few inches, and the 2010 Bowtech has a much evener pull. The speeds with a 430 grain arrow was X9B 220 FPS, Specialist Super 65 235 FPS, Hoyt Carbonite 275 & Bowtech Destroyer 350 305 FPS.

  • The bow has been around for a thousand years or maybe more. The pulley has been around for a thousand years but apparently mankind learned to split the atom before somebody thought to use pulleys on a bow.

  • Did you chrony a recurve as well?
