Garry McDonald (Norman) is one of Australia's finest talents....If you watch Garry in other TV shows he was in, you can see just how versatle he really is....
The Norman Gunston character was never meant to be taken seriously... in fact it would be hard to perform him... loved the show......

Unfortunate thing about Gunston was his suffering with depression. Was the main reason for his disappearance from the public spotlight.

Tim Allen is my idol. We had to write something about my idol and I chose him. I'm his biggest fan. Escpecially of the home improvement series. Proof of showing how much I am of his fan, in sims 3 I'm doing a home improvement house. It may be a bit sad. But he is my idol and I like him. Good luck Tim!

Considering the widely different cultural corners they both come from, this interview was pretty well-done, and funny, besides. "Budgie" is Brit & Aussie-speak for "parakeet" here in the US. But a lot of Americans wouldn't necessarily know that; obviously Tim didn't! But: What IS THAT THING ON GUNSTON'S HEAD?!? It's got to be a put-on, since it is the WORLD'S WORST COMB-OVER!!
