BEWARE ACER ASPIRE ONE AO531 (aka ZG8) 3G FRAUD DO NOT GET CHEATED

I just purchased an ACER AO531 also known as the ZG8. Sorry about video quality, old computer not healthy. In the store I made my purchase decision based on the label that indicated 3G was included inside. I read the instructions and found the SIM card slot behind the battery. BUT there is no 3G transmitter in the card slot to accept the SIM. Even worse, if you put a sim card in the slot you lose it inside the casing.
And if that is not all, one dead pixel on the screen from day 1. So far no luck with ACRAP customer service.

So the fact that I bought this computer because it had 3G when it doesn't is not Acer's problem? I think that is FRAUD.

Part 2:

This configuration does NOT have integrated 3G, however customers are reporting that it is advertised as having it in the store.

To make matters worse the sim card slot is apparently not blocked off like in the A series Aspire Ones, so that if sim card is inserted it will be floating around loose inside the casing because the 3G card is not there.

If purchased elsewhere please contact acer support in the country you purchased it from.

the sim card should have a sticker on it, because acer for the 531 and 751 uses the same chasis(for the 3G and non3G)..for thoes who have the 3g, also u can see the leds wlan and blue..if there is the 3g,there are some problmes, otherwise, u have the non 3G(ps. i worked in acer for a while so i know this models)

I don't think he did that's the back of the netbook where the battery goes. He shows it with the batttery removed, that's where the slot for the SIM is.

they f*cked me over when i bought it expecting it to have 3g and i was the same.

but i brought it back and kicked up shit and got the windows 7 version with the

6 cell battery. hehe
