I was in the Texas Marching band and got a sideline view of this at the Fiesta Bowl. I hate the shit out of OSU, but damn this was a great show from a great band.

@Fung15 Hehe... yeah, a lot of people here only know that this song is played during fireworks displays and at patriotic concerts. Most have no idea that it has nothing to do with the U.S. at all. They just know it's a great piece of music.

Maybe the best non-school traditional half-time since the country music performance, with Doug Droste playing the violin while the band made a violin with a moving bow. AWESOME STUFF!

@dhedrick08 Check out the rest of the show. There was planty of great marching before this piece.

@Fung15 WE ALL KNOW WHAT THE MUSIC IS ABOUT. YOU HAVE BROUGHT NO NEW INFORMATION TO THE TABLE.

@bistrosidecar Cause a American marching band plays a song written by a Russian to commemorate Russia's victory over Napoleon?

Gotta love The Best Damn Band In the Land

Fireworks are impressive. Now if they actually moved more than a few sets, this might be truly a entertaining spectacle of music.
I've been able to watch them practice at my high school in AZ for the Fiesta Bowl and they are amazing! While they sound better live.... this is a great video! I love the fireworks!
