Ok guys . Going to do my first full hog this weekend . In your opinion which is the best fuel to use ? Heat beads . Charcoal or Timber?

you should use less charcoal to control the heat and the pig sholud be in place at indirect heat for couple of hours before placing it directly..just a tip...

Excellent! i think at the beginning the roast you must put it in higher position, in relation with fire. For an hour and half.
