Rush on global warming and more....

As runaway suppositions go, the spectral threat of global warming has got to be the Granddaddy of them all. Based only upon a highly subjective and fluid computer model constructed solely of unproved and insupportable data ("junk science"), the world has once more been thrust into an environmental "crisis" without even a shred of scientific proof.

I am a physicist and officer in the US Navy, I am watching what is going on with the current so called Global warming debate. It is my belief that Socialism and Communism has taken up refuge in the world environmental movement. Like many Americans I used to think there was something to Global warming. Since I have actually studied the subject and grown up from being an intellectually immature high school student, I now know there is no quality evidence to support global warming theories and furthermore, that if there were that human actions had anything to do with temporally localized temperature fluctuations.

Yeah I'm going to take science advice from a pundit like Rush. He should shut the fuck up on this issue! (he does sometimes make valid points) What he is saying here, however, is dangerous!There a severe consequences for not taking climate change seriously. This kind of disinformation is detrimental to the species and anyone disseminating this kind of propaganda is, and should be viewed as a threat to the continued survival of the human species. This is a much larger issue than politics.

Let's review: the earth is getting warmer. That is not an opinion, that is a fact. C02 has been increasing (see the Keeling Curve). That is not an opinion, that is a fact. NASA satellites can measure the reradiation of long wave radiation and determine that less is escaping the atmosphere in the C02 absorption spectrum, that too is a fact. GW is a fact

Rush is too pathetic to even ridicule. The Polar icecaps are melting. NSIDC ranks the last 3 years as the 3 record minimums on record for  arctic sea ice.

NOAA now lists June, July and August 2009 as the warmest ocean surface global temperatures on record.

Rush dares to accuse the scientific community of being politically motivated. That's what is known as projection.

Rush probably was referring to Dr. Michael Oppenheimer. It's too bad they will never meet face to face.
