A poem I wrote for my father after he died. I will add the words to the poem when I have some more time. :)

  • Di, this is beautiful. The opening and closing lines are the entirety and heart of this beautiful poem, the verse in between the embelishments, just as a jazz composition would begin with a theme, explore its wonderful nuances in the middle, and conclude with its restatement. I think, dearest Di, that so are you also the restatement of that theme which was the love you shared with your father, and the life that he lived, and in your opening theme is his conclusion, the consequent phrase.

  • Michael...Thankyou..from the bottom of my heart! Much love! Di:)

  • amen...good riffs di...

sigh...and I just got done commenting on another video that my tears were all dried up on certain topics...this was apparently not one of them.

he is alive and with you in this poem as well.

  • Thank you Mike! Di:)

.... my favorite poem of yours.

  • I love this poem, Diane. It is such a loving tribute to your father. Have to come back and watch it every now and then. Much love to you, lady.

  • I remember when we put away my grandfathers ashes, most of it flew in our faces. Nothing meaningful about my Grandfather either...

I really liked your poem. Jazz musician? He sounds like a really cool influence I imagine we all would like as our Father. My Fathers an anti semetic hypocrit. :P

  • Very cool--like jazz :) --5*

  • no...thankyou! you wrote it! ;)
