hi there. i'm a master level hyundai tech, i understand how simple assembling this car was as the subframes between the two are interchangable and the hubs press over etc etc, the only question im asking is it appears you are using the 6cyl harness. the tiburons i/p fuse box and the elantras differ. was wondering how many connectors were plug and play, or did you wire this pin by pin to make it work. what are you running for a dash harness, etc....

now i got a 02 elantra with a blown motor so now im trying to swap it with a tibby i hear the one i need to go with is the 03 tibby engine and 6 speed tranny is this right?

its like same fit and everything?

@valenzuelatomas1989 i dont really know about any good lowering kits. ebay has some that i was interested in and i know that if you change your springs to some shorter ones you can have it lowered. im in the same shoes, i wanna make my car just a bit faster too. i love my car i have 2 kids so my 4 door is perfect. my friend s are telling me to go for the genesis 3.8 coupe but my family doesnt fit in that car lol!!!

@jlrmywork I will start searching for a good engine and transmission. I just wanna have something a lil faster from what i have now. Some people would say "just buy a tiburon" but i like my 4 door elantra. i also want to lower it, you know any good suspension? I don't really know much about cars, but i'm learning.

@valenzuelatomas1989 , but though the tiburon 2.7 v6 is not that fast at

Torque: 181 ft-lbs. @ 3800 rpm and Horsepower: 172 hp @ 6000 rpm. you can get a good turbo kit and have it give you maibe 300hp and 268 tq. you can try a ebay T3/T4 turbo kit from ebay. there are a few people that used them and it worked out for them. so we might get called ricers for the info i am sharing but i dont care. its just something only hyundai owners understand.

@jlrmywork Oh well that's not expensive for a swap, i was trying to mod my elantra's engine, but i guess i will wait after i do the swap.

@valenzuelatomas1989 , the mechanic also told me that if i want to use the 6 speed manual transmission i can do so, but i have to use the tiburon's transmission support bars or something like that to be able to have it in the elantra. the v6 2.7 is not that fast but i like the way it sounds and you will feel the difrence having it vs the 4 cylinder 2.0L. i just have no idea how much it cost to do the work. i know i can get the engine and transmission for about $800 bucks for each.

@valenzuelatomas1989 , hello and yes. i live in los angeles california & i talked to some mechanics from commerce hyundai when i took my car to get serviced. they told me its an exact fit. infact the v6 2.7L engine even looks the same as the 2.0L 4 cyl i have in my 05 elantra. they showed me a 08 tiburon that was next to my car. the mechanic said its the same engine bay size "i" w/ 5 speed manual tranni.

@jlrmywork Are you sure the v6 2.7 engine fits? I was thinking of doing the same swap.
