I had assembled waiting for a new ring set with used scraper ring. The oil got into dome and pipe so that is major burn off occuring. Better lots of oil than none, confirmed oil tank return flow and primed PP tube with half a shot. Not to worry had the needle raised to stock but returned it to bottom notch as was before also causing issues of idle. Re-timing I guess was good practice, the throttle response is better but I'll have to patch the rear tire and replace kicker spring (4 wind b44) to the bigger b50 type as it has snapped after say 150-200 kicks? bad spring.
I'll do this head mod to any supplied head with parts for $450. Oil flow opening, inlet opening de-bumping around guides, polished and dome finished or cleaned of pits. Sidedraft manifold $75. with head order.
