The jingle that used to start up Viking Radio in East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire every morning at 5:30 between 1984 and 1986 when the station changed frequency, jingle package and went 24 hours!


It's morning,
Another day to wake up singing in the morning.
Another day begins so come alive East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire with Viking Radio.

  • I picked up viking radio on 102.7mhz fm stereo at boarding school in ripon n.yorkshire with excellent reception and quality! It spread a good way outside its official service area on fm,and didnt stick to east yorkshire and north lincolnshire.

  • i was there when viking started did work expereince there during the gulf war period.

  • I remember hearing this on 1161khz on the day Viking started broadcasting. Living near Mablethorpe, it must have been the first time I'd ever heard commercial radio,

  • The line your missing is "Epworth's John Wesley" believe it or not.

    Brings back memories this!
