    Excellent review. Price is fair for the brightness, build quality, and >90 CRI... let alone including a mesh network dimmer and adjustable color/temp for each bulb. The exotic LED chips Philips used is the main cost driver. Cheaper LED bulbs sacrifice CRI, build-quality, or brightness. Already LSG is recalling ~500M LED bulbs due to fire hazard in the power supply. I expect Philips to have done their homework on these Hue bulbs. Just beware the glass diffuser is fragile!

    i bought led controling light bulbs for china and it worked great yea i had a remote and not an Iphone but i paid 8 dollars compared to these ridiculous prices of this technology for less. But hope fully it advances to do different things like strobe or other neat features.
