  • looks like acetylene... or you use dirty sewage water... how come your flame doesn't blue????

  • @molceonly .

The electrolyte was Sodium Hydroxide, which seems to give a golden orange flame, unlike Potassium Hydroxide, which tends to be blue.

  • i understand the basics of hho etc, but how do you make it pressurized to create the torch flame?

  • @smartstuff2buy .

...with very carefull attention to tight seals.

  • wow that thing only took like 3 minutes to be molten ,

and look the price of the fuel, mm since here in my country the electricity fee is abot 20 dollar cents per Kw, i just started to work on

  • @JavAnarkoMet

The torch kit was running from a 12V car battery at around 50Amps. That is 600 Watts per hour. At 20 cents per Kw that equates to 12cents per hour to run the torch kit. The 3 minutes to get to molten silver cost 0.6 cents, which is cheaper than other methods and without any carbon to taint the metal to boot!

Though HHO is not ideal for every job, it certainly does have it's benefits in many situations, eg. for small metal & glassworks where a clean flame is best.

  • that dosent look like silver it cools very quick

  • @leonardo1480 probably borax

  • what was the powder you sprinkled on the silver before melting it down?

  • I bought a torch kit from them a while ago. Their new kit is different to the one in the video. It comes in a large plastic case, which stops any spills of electrolyte getting on anything & makes it more portable. It melts scrap metal well enough on a heat dish, though the method seen in the video of doing it on a piece of wood is best as the heat builds up quicker. It's good for small works, but not for welding or cutting heavy metal though. It's ideal for gold panners to refine the finds.

  • @emissionsbusters ah... thanks for the info...

  • @emissionsbusters the best part about burning hydrogen that it creates water and that water can be reused
