Let's Play Lord of the Rings #01: Bad controls = bad game

This is a horrible game right from the start. The controls suck, I dare you to play it.
I will be getting the best ending by keeping everyone alive. It is posible to let all the hobbits but frodo die if you want.

The music is amazing and ambient, but it loops over and over.

I sure wouldn't complain if someone would rip an SPC soundtrack of this game. It may have its flaws but the music wasn't one of 'em as far as I'm concerned.

i had this one. good music,good animations,bad gameplay and i always got lost in the caves.i remember buying it out of a discount bin at this no name video store i use to go to.

I remember playing this game when I was 5 or 6 and i forgot what year it was and now im 14.

I thought the caves were very atmospheric both in graphics and ambient sound effects.. It gave you the effect that you were in an ancient cavern with lost ruins. The exterior "plains" also gave a nice atmospheric feel... but beyond the gates of Hobbiton, it felt like everything was rushed and not entirely thought out.

The controls were indeed awful, and they could have kept to the literature a bit better.. wtf was Merry doing far south? Didn't all four hobbits leave together from Hobbiton?

But then again, we all have opinions.. If its your opinion that Zelda sucks and is stupid, then that is your opinion and I'll accept it as so.. But my opinion differs greatly.

@theproplady I've read in an article somewhere that they did use character designs from the Bakshi film. So your assumption is fact :P

Did you guys play the (1994) PC Version? I really liked that one since it was a lot more like Dungeons and Dragons, but I never could finish it.
