@macuser2 I think it was called the "Plugged Nickel." I was about the same age, went to their Sunday matinee, which was only time kids could get in. Also remembering hearing Art Hoyle and Maynard Ferguson, Elvin Jones, and other jazz greats there.
Wow, I haven't seen much video of Sonny or Jug for that matter? This is so nice to see...I saw him at a place in Chicago called the "Plug Nickel" in Oldtown when I was 12...never forgot it...Thanks for posting man!
