  • Nice! series of photos of the Xenia tornado at the end there. I had never seen those before. Thanks for the upload CA.

  • You're welcome!

  • Thank you for uploading this! I hope it doesn't get taken down.

  • You're welcome! And I hope it doesn't get taken down either. I made the title and description pretty vague so I'm hoping it doesn't get noticed.

  • @kennyembry When I ran for Moore the next year, me and some of the other guys would get a ride to McNeely or ditch practice if possible but my brother, though not a good a runner wouldn't ditch if you paid him, or for rain or tornados. He was also highest peacetime honors military and has 200 acres now where storms come through often. After being let go from grade school my mother just had to go, all the way to the West end N33rd to get grandmas check aroud 5pm just after the Brandenburg Tndo

  • @kennyembry My brother ran cross country for Southern High during that time and got a good view of the Louisville tornado while he ran. I, on the other hand, hid in the basement with my visiting Aunt (who insisted her empty luggage be brought down to her!) while the rest of the family rushed outside to watch it. Of course, I was only seven at the time and terrified of tornadoes. I still remember the weird clouds and pea-soup skies before the storm struck and the sound of the sirens.

  • I remember Dick Gilbert, through 84WHAS. There was an easy way he talked about traffic reports and a kind person. I remembered the ten year anniversery broadcast of the Super Outbreak, and they played all of his announcements.

  • @talladegajunkie1439 When you fly in the air force, fear is not an option.

  • @talladegajunkie1439 Oh, I didn't know.

  • @Beauty4Aspies, Hell no. I live in NC

  • @talladegajunkie1439 Sounds very neat, do u know him?

  • @Beauty4Aspies, He survived. He gave Louisville a play-by-play of what was going on, and was still in the air well after the tornado had passed.

  • @talladegajunkie1439 Pshhew! How do u know, and what is he doing now?

  • @Beauty4Aspies, yes he did.
