@sanacore2011 I beg to differ, those players use an Astatic 89T PowerPoint cartridge and the arm, which is rigid plastic weighs very little and the cart mount is spring loaded (and a pain to disassemble) but tracks very light, at about 2 grams. As long as the stylus is good it won't even damage a stereo recording, as the 89T is stereo compatible (has vertical compliance) and the 91T IS stereo (and used on the stereo versions of these players!), these were good players, and very reliable.
I remember these! When I was in elementary school, every classroom had a record player like this one. On Fridays my teacher would get out his Schoolhouse Rock records and play them for us.
Those were some good times...I wish I could go back.
